Flower Garden

Happy Math Monday! Here’s today’s video (4/27):

Follow-Up Ideas:

• Flower Counting and Patterning (from video – document in email): if your child is ready to count to 20 and is interested enough in the activity, there are 20 flowers on the document. If your child is only ready to get to 5, that’s fine too! If your child would rather focus on counting than patterns, or vice versa, and is unable to do both at once, that’s okay! If they are ready to do more complex patterns (ABC or AAB, etc), let them! This is a very flexible activity.

• Flower Pom Pom Counting (document in email): use Pom Poms (or another small manipulative) to make and count flowers! You can also add patterning to this activity if you want to!

• Flower Pattern Stamping (document in email): Use a piece of a pool noodle, an actual flower, a painted Pom Pom, or anything else you can think of to stamp the flower patterns on paper!
